Most kennels will accommodate raw or home-prepared food if they have a refrigerator/freezer on hand, just call and ask. Feeding freeze dried food while traveling is just a matter of having access to water for re-hydration. However, the food can be fed dry if there is immediate and constant access to fresh water. Do not feed the food dry and then go on a road trip with infrequent stops unless water can be offered in the vehicle at regular intervals. Also, do not feed dry and then crate your pet without water for any length of time. Fresh water should always be available unless the food has been fully re-hydrated at the time of serving.
